Terms of Service

1. Accounts

You need an account for the dashboard, API keys and node management. Accounts are handled by our authentication provider; you must give accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for everything done through your account.

You must be old enough to enter a binding contract where you live, and at least 13. If you use LLMJob for an organisation, you confirm you may bind that organisation to these terms.

2. What the service is

LLMJob pools spare GPU capacity into an OpenAI-compatible inference network. In practice that means four things:

• Chat — a free assistant on the website, subject to a usage allowance.
• The API — an OpenAI-compatible endpoint authenticated with an LLMJob API key. See the documentation.
• The node network — machines that people connect to serve inference jobs.
• LLMJob Earn — a desktop app that puts idle GPU time to work.

Requests may be served either by the node network or, for the models marked as hosted in the documentation, by an upstream provider we route to on your behalf. Which one served a given request is reported in the response.

3. API keys

Your API key authenticates requests and consumes resources, so treat it as a secret. We store only a hash of it — we cannot recover a lost key, and you should not ask us to. Keep keys out of browser and mobile code, where anyone can read them.

You are responsible for all usage on your keys, including usage by someone who obtained a key you failed to protect. Revoke a compromised key from the dashboard; revocation takes effect immediately. We may revoke or rate-limit a key that is being abused, or that threatens the stability of the network.

A key set to private routes only to nodes in your own account. A key set to public may be served by any node on the network, and may use the hosted models. Choose deliberately: the routing setting is how you decide where your prompts are allowed to run.

4. Running a node

When you connect a machine you are volunteering it to the network. You confirm that you own the machine or are authorised to use it this way, and that doing so doesn't breach anyone else's rules — an employer's, a landlord's, a hosting provider's, or an electricity supplier's.

If your node is public, inference jobs submitted by other users may run on it, and prompts you did not write will pass through your hardware. If that isn't what you want, keep the node private. Either way you remain responsible for your own machine: its power use, its wear, its cooling, its network, and its security.

We may remove a node from the network at any time — for unreliability, for abuse, or because it is failing jobs. Nothing here entitles you to have work sent to your node, or to any particular volume of it.

5. LLMJob Earn and payouts

LLMJob Earn mines cryptocurrency using a third-party mining pool. Some things follow from that, and they matter:

• We do not custody your funds. Rewards are calculated and paid by the pool directly to the payout address you supply. We never hold, forward or control them.
• The payout address is yours to get right. Cryptocurrency transactions are irreversible. If you enter an address you do not control, or one with a typo, the funds are gone and we cannot recover them.
• Earnings are not guaranteed or predicted. They depend on your hardware, network difficulty, pool rules, uptime and the token's value — none of which we control. Any figure shown in the app or on the site is an estimate, not a promise.
• Pool terms apply too. Payout schedules, minimum thresholds and fees are set by the pool, not by us, and can change without notice to us.
• Tax is your responsibility. Mining rewards may be taxable where you live.

Mining draws sustained power and runs your hardware hard. Satisfy yourself that this is appropriate for your machine and your electricity costs before you start.

6. Acceptable use

Don't use LLMJob to:

• break the law, or generate material that is illegal where you or the node operator are;
• produce child sexual abuse material, or content that sexualises minors — this is an absolute limit and results in immediate termination and, where required, a report;
• harass, threaten, defame or impersonate anyone, or generate content designed to deceive people about who wrote it or who is speaking;
• generate malware, attack infrastructure, or probe systems you don't own;
• attempt to reach another user's prompts, keys, jobs or nodes, or to influence which node serves a job beyond the documented targeting header;
• work around usage limits — sharing keys to pool free allowance, scripting account creation, or reselling free capacity as your own service;
• submit personal data of others, or regulated data (health, financial, biometric), to a public key or a public node. Public routing means the prompt may run on hardware belonging to someone you have never met;
• report false telemetry, forge node identity, or otherwise misrepresent contributed work in order to gain rewards or standing on the network.

We may suspend or terminate access for any of the above, and we may do it without notice where the conduct is causing harm.

7. Your content and model output

You keep whatever rights you have in the prompts you send. We claim no ownership of them, and we do not use them to train models. As between you and us, output generated for you is yours, subject to these terms and to any rights of the underlying model provider.

You are responsible for what you send and for what you do with what comes back. To the extent the law allows, we make no claim that output is accurate, appropriate or original — language models are wrong confidently and often, and identical prompts can produce identical output for different users. Check anything that matters before relying on it.

8. Free usage

The chat and the hosted models draw on a shared free allowance that we pay for. It is finite. When it runs out, those models stop serving until it is topped up; requests to the node network are unaffected. We may change or withdraw the free allowance at any time, and we may limit an individual user whose consumption is spoiling it for everyone else.

9. Availability and beta software

LLMJob is early software under active development. Features change, break and occasionally disappear. We offer no uptime commitment, and no service level agreement. The node network in particular depends on volunteered hardware: nodes go offline without warning, and a request may time out simply because nobody was available to serve it.

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the service. Where a change would be materially adverse and we can reasonably give notice, we will.

10. Intellectual property

The LLMJob source code is open source under the MIT licence, and that licence governs your use of the code. The LLMJob name, logo and site design are not covered by it; please don't use them to imply that we endorse or are affiliated with something we aren't.

11. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or usage of trade. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors, or that any result obtained through it will be accurate or reliable.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, nor for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, lost cryptocurrency, hardware damage, or increased electricity costs, whether or not we were advised such damages were possible.

Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or US$100.

13. Termination

You may stop using LLMJob at any time; delete your keys and disconnect your nodes. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, if your use threatens the service or other users, or if we are required to by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including sections 7, 11, 12 and 15 — do.

14. Changes

We may update these terms. The "last updated" date at the top changes when we do, and continued use after that constitutes acceptance. For material changes we will make a reasonable effort to give notice in the product or the Discord before they take effect.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Fulton County, Georgia have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to them, and both parties consent to personal jurisdiction there — except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of your home jurisdiction.
